By Trevor Webster, Chairman of LRPC
In my last Lindfield Life update I said that earlier this year following a Local Government Boundary Commission review that MSDC had been considering a change to the Lindfield Rural Parish Council boundaries covering the following roads - The Copse, The Hollow, Kiln Lane, Knoll Place, The Platt, The Rise, Gravelye Close and some of Westlands Road and to move them within the Haywards Heath Town Council (HHTC) boundary. This resulted in many of you within the area attending our parish council meeting and sending in objections to MSDC to such a move, making it clear that you wanted to remain within the rural area. The objections were considered by the MSDC Scrutiny Committee on Wednesday 23rd March 2022 and a decision was taken to defer the matter until 2025. At LRPC we welcomed this decision and we recognise that local identity is very important to residents. We were pleased that we were able to work closely with our residents in conveying your views to MSDC, in addition to our own concerns.
