Lindfield Rural Parish Council Newsletter - Sept 2023
Community Engagement
We have recently carried out two important community engagements. Firstly our annual residents meeting took place on 18th May at the Scaynes Hill Millennium Centre. The agenda was
• Our achievements and business planning for the next 4 years
• Our new dark skies policy
• What and when to recycle
• Greener Gardens Lindfield initiative
• Police crime prevention presentation by the community police officers
Following the successful presentations, residents were invited to ask questions to the presenters, most questions were concerning what and how to recycle waste, local crime figures and how to report incidents, Walstead Park development, and contacts with other council agencies.
Then, later we had a stand at the Lindfield Village Day held on 3rd June. Our stand attracted a large number of visitors and issues raised included contacts with other council agencies, Walstead Park development, the burial ground and the allocation of allotments. Both events were very successful and we would like to thank all those who came over to see us to engage in what we do.
We encourage residents to make contact at any time and not just at special events, so if you have any parish council related issues to bring to our attention our contact details are clerk@lindfieldrural-pc.org.uk
